It’s burning hot this summer in California. Thinking of past summers….my family all had bikes, and

we would cruise along a bike path, perhaps 10 miles or more, along Santa Monica.  Yes, it’s the same

path featured in Three’s Company!  My Dad had a double decker bike, and put his youngest son

on the back.  If you can find a double seat bike, they are great fun!  We walked our bikes thru the funky,

hippy Venice boardwalk….Yes, there were still alot of hippies cruising around in the 70’s.  They sold incense

or tye dye shirts.  Many kids learned how to make tye dye shirts growing up. A fun project! Those were good

times, and I treasure the memories, as my parents have passed now.  Another is a summer camp group that

all crammed into vans, and headed to Malibu beach for the day.  It was 1977, and we were the first group

of kids to sing along to the Fleetwood Mac Rumours record.  Amazing….still played everywhere.  This music ruled,

and seems to be evergreen, passing down to generations now.   We were messy, sandy beach bum kids with shaggy

hair and tans.   We all had boogie boards, and body surfed the waves.  Good vibes. Good times.  Take some time to

reach back into your precious summer memories.  Play the songs again…pass them on!
